Pricing 2026

How much does a mobile app cost?

Short answer: from around $15,000 for an MVP to $75,000+ for a complex product. Long answer below — with concrete ranges and the factors that actually move the price.

MVP

$15–30k

One platform, the product core, 2–3 months. Ideal for validating the idea.

Standard app

$30–75k

User accounts, backend, payments, push notifications. 3–6 months.

Complex product

$75k+

Real-time features, AI, multiple platforms, scalable infrastructure. 6+ months.

What drives the cost of a mobile app?

There is no single price list, because apps differ the way houses do — “how much is a house” depends on size and standard. In practice, five things decide the price:

  • Number of platforms. iOS-only is the cheapest start. iOS + Android usually costs 1.6–2× a single platform.
  • Backend and user accounts. An app that only displays content is cheap. Sign-in, data sync and sharing between users add a whole server side — often half the budget.
  • Real-time features. Chat, video calls, live maps — technically the most interesting and the most expensive parts. In our own app VibMe we even synchronized phone vibrations during video calls.
  • AI integrations. Assistants, recommendations, content generation — cost depends on whether we use existing models or build something custom.
  • Design. Standard system components are fast. A custom interface with rich animations is beautiful — and time-consuming.

Why start with an MVP

The most expensive mistake is building the “full” app nobody needs. That's why we recommend starting with an MVP — the product core: one platform and only the features without which the product doesn't exist. Our own apps, Wevowly and VibMe, were built exactly this way — core first in the App Store, then expansion driven by real user behavior.

What the price includes

We are a product studio — the same processes we use for our own apps go into client projects:

  1. a product workshop and scope definition,
  2. UX/UI design (a clickable prototype before any code),
  3. native iOS development with AI integrations,
  4. App Store release and analytics setup,
  5. support and iterations after launch.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a simple mobile app (MVP) cost?

A focused MVP — one platform, a handful of screens, basic backend — typically lands between $15,000 and $30,000. That budget is enough to validate the idea with real users in the App Store.

How long does it take to build a mobile app?

An MVP usually ships in 2–3 months. A full product with backend, user accounts and integrations takes 4–8 months. Scope and design iterations are the main drivers.

What drives the cost of an app up the most?

The biggest cost factors are: number of platforms (iOS + Android ≈ 1.6–2× the price of one), a backend with accounts and sync, real-time features (chat, video), AI integrations, and custom design with rich animations.

Can I reduce the cost without killing quality?

Yes — start with an MVP on a single platform (usually iOS), cut features down to the product core, and use proven services (payments, analytics, push) instead of building them from scratch. Add more after market validation.
